Effects: BCNET services for members who’s services terminate at the BCNET
Victoria pop are either down or severely degraded.

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the EduCloud Server environment (https://bcnet.educloud.ubc.ca) for Organizations hosted in Vancouver (Point Grey) location during the above maintenance window.
Virtual machines running on the EduCloud Server service will remain up and running. Administrators will be able to manage virtual machines via standard management methods like RDP and SSH, but will not be able to manage them though the EduCloud Server Administration Portal.
The wireless issue with West Mall Swing Space is resolved as of 2:10pm.
If you get this message, DO NOT reply and DO NOT provide any personal information. Delete the email. The email is part of an overpayment scam. The scammer will send the victim a fraudulent cheque for an amount greater than what was agreed upon then ask for a “refund”. The scammer is counting on the victim sending the “refund” before discovering the cheque was fraudulent and did not clear at the bank.

Users may be experiencing network intermittent issues at the building, technicians are looking into resolving the issue at the moment.
UBC IT will be performing core router firmware upgrades on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 between 18:00 and 21:00 PT. Redundant systems are available, so no service disruptions are anticipated.
UBC IT will be conducting maintenance on its DNS servers on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Secondary systems will be available to provide continuous DNS/DHCP service, so no service interruptions are expected during this maintenance window.
The UBC Vancouver Voice Service will be undergoing maintenance on January 24, 2018 from 20:00 to 23:59 PT. There will be no impact to the phone service as a result of this change.
On January 24, 2018 21:00 – 22:00 PT, UBC IT will perform system maintenance on the UBCO FASmail Email Service. No user impact is expected.
Network maintenance is being performed on the Peter A. Allard Hall Law building network to facilitate upgrades as part of the Network Switch Replacement Program. During this service window on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 21:30 – January 25, 01:30 PT, all wired and wireless network services will be sporadic, as the network services are migrated, and the connectivity is verified.
The connectivity issue at the UBC Boathouse have been resolved.
The website https://services.myphones.ubc.ca will be undergoing maintenance and not be accessible to browsers on January 23, 2018 between 08:00 to 09:00 PT.

The maintenance will not have an effect on the availability of the application.
The Workspace Airwatch Content Locker Sync Client for macOS will be updated on the Workspace servers.
After the update, Workspace users can download the new client from the Workspace web portal at files.workspace.ubc.ca
