MSL Seminar Series: February – Career Trajectory Panel

This seminar will consist of a panel covering topics related to career trajectory in research, with four UBC faculty members participating as panelists. Panelists will be asked questions on topics ranging from more general questions to questions about mentorship, family, and the future of science.
Panelists:
- Dr. Freda Miller – Michael Smith Laboratories, Department of Medical Genetics
- Dr. Nobuhiko Tokuriki – Michael Smith Laboratories, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Dr. Nika Shakiba – School of Biomedical Engineering
- Dr. Dave Ng – Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Michael Smith Laboratories
This seminar will be presented in a hybrid format. The panel will be present in-person at the MSL Lecture Theatre (room 102) or you can watch via the zoom link. Audience members are welcome to submit questions for the panelists ahead of time at this survey link. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the panel session, both in person and through the Zoom chat.
