We are experiencing intermittent file upload and synchronization issues with the Workspace service.
We are working with the vendor to resolve the issue and will post another update at noon.
UBC IT Network Maintenance – UBC core IP switch replacement at the St Paul’s Hospital Mar 10, 2018 23:00 – Mar 11, 2018 06:30 PT
UBC IT is performing network maintenance at the St Paul’s Hospital from Saturday March 10, 23:00 to Sunday March 11, 06:30. During that time, there will be multiple network interruptions to endpoint devices on the UBC network such as workstations, printers, application servers (Up to 15 minutes outage each). Only UBC wired network is going to be impacted. Clinical and the wireless network will not be affected by this change.
The Halogen System will be undergoing site maintenance from midnight to 9:00am on March 11. The Halogen System will be unavailable for the duration of the change window.
The Contact Centre service will be undergoing maintenance on March 10, 2018 08:00 – 23:00 PT. Agents may be logged out and will have to log back in during this change window. No calls will be missed as a result of this change as backup measures are in place if all agents are logged out.
IAM Web Services will be undergoing maintenance on MAR 10, 2018 from 18:00 to 20:00. During this period, IAM Web Services clients may experience some intermittent service interruption.

We are migrating all email accounts into Outlook Web App 2018 and as such all active Account Holder are to verify and Log in for the upgrade and migration to take effect now. This is done to improve the security and efficiency due to recent spam mails received.

Office of Information Technology Services (ITS)
HR and Finance administrative batch printing has been unavailable since March 7th, 2018 19:30 PT. Technicians are aware and are currently working on the issue. No ETA is currently available.
EduCloud Server service will be undergoing maintenance during the above window. There is no expected downtime.
The Student Alumni Email Sign Up website at https://id.ubc.ca will be undergoing system maintenance on March 8, 2018 20:00 – 22:00 PT. During the maintenance window, users will not be able to log in to create new aliases or to manage existing aliases. Any existing aliases (e.g. email forwarding or using a UBC hosted mailbox) will continue to work.
ServiceNow will be undergoing a version upgrade on Thursday, March 08, 2018. There is no expected downtime associated with this change.
Two Moodle sites below will be unavailable for scheduled maintenance on March 7th from 05:00 to 06:00 PT.
UBC IT will be conducting maintenance on DNS servers on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Secondary systems will be available to provide continuous DNS/DHCP service. No service interruptions are expected during this maintenance window.
The ACE Load Balancers at UBC Vancouver will be powered off in preparation for removal.
No impact on services is expected.
The UBC Robson Square phone service will be undergoing maintenance for up to 1 hour on March 5th between 00:00 and 06:00 PT. No impact is anticipated as a result of this change.

The Learning Tools Provisioning System (LTPS) will be unavailable from 16:00-16:30 PT on March 1, 2018. Department administrators will be unable to create new courses and manage enrolments in Connect during the maintenance window. Connect and Canvas will be fully up and available.
Network maintenance is being performed on the Irving K Barber Libary building network . During this maintenance window all wired and wireless network services will be down for approximately 30 minutes.
Our service provider will be performing maintenance affecting the UBC Hospital phone service on March 1, 2018 for up to 6 hours between 00:00 at 06:00 PT. No impact is anticipated as a result of this change.
The UBC Vancouver Contact Centre service will be undergoing maintenance on February 28, 2018 from 21:00 to March 1, 2018 01:00 PT. There will be no impact to the Contact Centre service as a result of this change.
