Drs. James Piret and Robin Turner Receive William F. Meggers Award

We extend our congratulations to both Dr. James Piret and Dr. Robin Turner for the receipt of the 2022 William F. Meggers Award. Dr. Piret is jointly appointed at University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering and Michael Smith Laboratories. Dr. Turner is a professor emeritus with the Michael Smith Laboratories, the UBC Department of Chemistry and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS) will present the award at the FACSS SciX Conference this October at the Northern Kentucky Convention Centre in Greater Cincinnati. 

Established in 1960, the William F. Meggers Award, is given to the authors of an exceptional paper appearing in the Applied Spectroscopy journal. The winning paper “Augmented Two-Dimensional Correlation Spectroscopy for the Joint Analysis of Correlated Changes in Spectroscopic and Disparate Sources.” was co-authored by Dr. Piret and Dr. Turner.
