Two projects led by MSL faculty receive CIHR fall 2024 priority announcement funding
Two collaborative research projects by Drs. Leonard Foster and Wilfred Jefferies have received priority announcement funding through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grant: Fall 2024 competition. Both projects focus on disease prevention, developing and testing new approaches to protect against Mpox and malaria.
This funding competition awarded approximately $411 million in research grants across Canada, with an additional $14.1 million in priority announcement grants and $400,000 in supplemental prizes. At UBC, a total of 55 projects were awarded a combined $38.1 million.
