Girls running at full STEAM at this year’s Girls-Only Maker Camp

Last week, UBC and the Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory hosted its annual Girls-Only Maker Camp, a week-long camp focused on STEAM (science, technology engineering, art, and math) education and designed for girls entering grades seven and eight.  Hosted by Dave Ng, the schedule included basic programming workshops, craftivism and Ugly Doll creation (by Kim Werker, read about her post here), breadboarding and circuit building, metal workshops, and many other various science activities. Read about this year’s camp went on the UBC Maker Camp 2019 blog.
