New Research from the Pavlidis Lab aims to Connect Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder to the Cellular Makeup of the Brain

In a recent study by Toker et al. titled, “Transcriptomic Evidence for Alterations in Astrocytes and Parvalbumin Interneurons in Subjects With Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia”, the Pavlidis lab takes on the challenge of finding a signature for schizophrenia and bipolar disease disorder at the cellular level.  Dr. Paul Pavlidis and his colleagues used NeuroExpresso, an online research tool developed by the Pavlidis Lab, and other new bioinformatic methods to conduct their research.
